The National Association of Intercollegiate Gymnastics Clubs (NAIGC) Nationals was hosted in Slat Lake City, Utah 19-21 April. Over 600 competitors from more than 60 universities and colleges from around the US competed. The TGC was well represented with teams and individuals from Texas, Texas A&M, Texas State, Texas Tech, University of Texas Dallas, Hardin Simmons, and St. Mary’s. Six preliminary sessions for women and three for men were held Thursday and Friday culminating in a finals session on Saturday.

Aggie Men 1st at NAIGC Nationals
Texas Tech Men 6th

The Texas A&M Men repeated as national champions edging out Penn State. In the men’s All Around, three-time defending national champion Eli Richardson was edged out by his teammate, Michael Bynum, from Texas A&M, but still won Floor. Meanwhile, newcomer Tommy Trumpeter from the University of Texas at Dallas won both Pommel Horse and Rings. Bryce Cashell, Texas State, claimed the national Vault title.
